Creativity during the school year for the tender artists.

As a tender artist in my last year of high school I still fine it hard to get motivated to be creative. I am not sure why this is, but it is very true. I can not say that I don't have time, because school for me only takes me to like noon and maybe one. THEN WHY CAN'T I GET ANY ART DONE! This drives me absolutely crazy. So I challenge myself and you other tender artists to find at lest a half an hour, if you can make it a full hour great, to be creative. It does not mater if you finish it in this short time it may take a couple days, but by Friday every week you will have two or more complete pictures( if they aren't complete don't worry this is only for practice).  Next Friday will be the first week. On every Friday I will post the pictures I did that week. So lets get creative.

First Day of School!

You want to make those first day of school pictures into something unique and special. Turn them into one of a kind pencil portrait. Its so easy. All you have to do is send the picture(s) to mcmakayla3@gmail.com and I will create them into pencil portrait(s).
An 8" x 11" with one person is $40 for every extra person is an additional $5.

Art Jobs?

 I am currently on the look out for art jobs. I will design and create handmade logos, business cards, greeting cards, portraits, and illustrations to your liking. Creating one of a kind and personal art work that you can share with family and friends or even use them to promote your business.  Just tell me what you would like it to depict and I will get creative from there.

 If you are in the Lansing area and would like a private art lesson, please contact me. For one hour lesson it is $20 dollars per student. If there are more than one person within a family that want lessons, combined lessons will be available to allow the students to learn with each other and from each other. A picture a day will keep the blues away.

     These past few weeks I have noticed that if I don't force myself to draw or paint( I do watercolors only) everyday I don't make any progress in my skill. I know that if I did this my skill will improve and sharpen. So I looked on the internet for ways to make working on art more of a habit and the one way I liked most was the art or visual journal. This is when you take a sketch or blank notebook and draw or paint one thing that sparked your interest or a thought during your day. As it is still the beginning of a new year I will begin a visual journal for the year. As the year goes on I will share parts of this journal with you in hopes of inspiring you to start one of your own. You don't have to be good at it at first, because the ability to work in you journal will come with time.
